Before our coming to existence, the causal history of mankind has already been increased by the actions and creations for hundreds of thousands of years by now physically non-existent human generations. The causal existence of a human that interacts with others does not end in the individual’s death, but exists in the form of consequences that increase in effect the further in time humanity exceeds. The reality as it is in the representational level has radically altered when compared with the pre-historic times of modernity. The realm to which new generations adapt in the form it has developed is a product of the cultural continuum. The values and the emotional responses human characteristics have been tuned in to are far from what the nearly predatory humans adapted to in the distant past. The ever vastening potentials of language have already been explored for thousands of years, having brought forth such realms to our being as human rights, different cultures and civilizations that could not have come into existence in such a detail and form without languages. The causal history of the individual’s life is composed of knowledge that is more developed than what generation a decade ago could have had as raw material for the development of consciousness.

The ability to self-determine one’s destiny is limited for any individual. He cannot choose the circumstances he is born into, and yet his physiology will begin to adapt to them. The boundaries of his physiology are determined by the properties of the cosmos such as gravity, molecules, and distances in relativity with his physiological size, and yet he will learn to function in this set of boundaries and properties as he finds suitable. The representational reality has advanced to the state he finds it to be in, and he continues its development similarly as the individuals before him had, and yet he may well find a new realm of possibilities non before him had found. Other members of the society appear to him in a chaotic manner in that for him unknown individuals have each a personal history he is not aware of, they function in accordance with what they have become, and the casualties we can observe in them to exist merge selectively with him.

In companionship ranging from friendship to deeper forms of bonding, the personal histories of other individuals begin to merge with his neurology. This starts from his parents, whose innate nature has already been fashioned by the culture they are a part of, then he moves forwards with his generation and the merging continues, and he is increasingly likened to those who have influence on him. But where in all this do we find self-determinism? The Earth is so rich in detail that sometimes we do not seek from the place we should have search for hints of self-determinism all along, right behind our very noses. We know that certain stimulus can have an influence over us, but the component self-determinism, self, is that which chooses from the increasing range of possibilities that exists in the grasp of his intelligence, and those the world has to offer to him. By observing how we, the self, function in the constantly advancing stream of representational awareness, we become aware of this possibility and reality generating domain of self-existence.
